@MainActor in Swift explained with code examples

Crazy to believe I wrote the first version of this article in November 2024. Enough reason to revisit and update it for the latest state of today.

Let AI Control the iOS Simulator

WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Bringing the other two Rocket apps to life

I'm beyond excited to share with you the first impression of the two other apps we're currently working on. Or well, the app icons at least!

I can't share many details yet regarding the apps themselves (see previous issue), but I do love to invite you to:

  1. Open Xcode Instruments
  2. Select the Concurrency or SwiftUI template (or combine both, if you know how)
  3. Create a trace of a physical device (macOS works too, but no Simulator)
  4. Save the result as a .trace file
  5. Email me the file and what you hope to get improved

In return, I'll do my best to identify the most prominent issue in your app and present it in a way that's easy for you to fix. See it as a win-win: you help me build the best app possible, I help you improve the performance of your app!
